Peom : Shame On you

Shame

Shame is the whip we use to control one another
We say we love them, but we still harm our brother.

We accuse and attack and expect them to plead
We abuse our shaming to make their heart bleed.

Shame on you, look, look what have you done.
I’ll show you whose boss, I make you undone.

We use shame as a tool just like a sharp knife
We use it to slash and remove all of the life.

Shame…shame…shame on you, just look you are bad.
Look what I can do to make you feel sad.

I think the shamer has the most to fear.
‘Cause when they look inside, they hate what they hear.

I’ll judge and condemn you, I’ll find a reas’n or two
To judge on the outside and the inside too.

Is it their pain that leaks through the cracks
The shamer tries hard to flick it all back.

If you’ll look deep inside the shamers heart
You see something lacking right from the start.

They missed love, caring, trust, and the truth
So now they try to reclaim it by destroying the proof.

The shamer shames those around them,it’s true
Because they’re empty inside and feel so blue.

If they had love and kindness overflowing inside
We’d feel it from them, not want to run and hide.

Shamers accuse and judge so clear and true
Your’e not good enough, I’m far better than you.

Shaming demoralises and makes you feel, less than we should.
The shamer claims proudly, you're bad, you are no good.

The usual response from being shamed all today
Is to protect, and defend, and turn right away.

So next time your’ a shaming, stop to think twice
Is this what you wish to do, Why can’t you be nice?
